Abstract: Pluriclosed metrics constitute a special family of Hermitian metrics and play a crucial role in the geometry of non-Kähler manifolds, characterized by the closed torsion of their associated Bismut connections. In this talk, we present a complete classification of simply-connected pluriclosed manifolds admitting parallel Bismut torsion, extending previous results in the literature. This is joint work with G. Barbaro and N. Tardini.

Speaker Bio: Francesco Pediconi focuses on Lie groups, Riemannian geometry, Ricci flows and non-Kähler complex geometry. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Florence in 2020 and currently works as an Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Torino. He has visited universities in Australia, Germany, the United States and other countries, and is frequently invited to deliver talks at international conferences. He possesses extensive experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate mathematics courses as well as organizing academic conferences.
