Abstract: The talk concerns various aspects of the geometry and analysis of complete three-dimensional manifolds with scalar curvature bounded from below, including volume growth and the size of the bottom spectrum. This is joint work with Ovidiu Munteanu.

Speaker Bio: Jiaping Wang is a professor specializing in geometric analysis. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California, Irvine, under the supervision of Professor Peter Li. He has been a faculty member at the University of Minnesota since 1999.
